Westerwelle Young Founders Programme

Westerwelle Foundation based in Berlin initiated the Westerwelle Young Founders Programme, a programme targeting young entrepreneurs from emerging and developing countries. The programme is fully funded for 6 months where entrepreneurs connect with other founders from all over the world. Several Africa startups have benefited from the programme. Make-IT Initiative

The Make-IT in Initiative was launched by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development to support tech entrepreneurs worldwide. #Africa4Future

#Africa4Future, a joint accelerator programme between Airbus Bislab and GIZ Make-IT in Africa focuses on supporting technology partnerships between Airbus and Startups in Africa. Afrolynk Tech and Entrepreneurship Event

Afrolynk founded in Berlin is the first tech and entrepreneurship platform connecting the African & European ecosystems. The platform aims at connecting startups and businesses which are focusing on Africa. Every year, Afrolynk organises a conference which offers stakeholders an opportunity to connect with entrepreneurs, hubs, accelerators, policy makers, chambers of commerce, VCs and investors. Start-up Night! Afrika

The Start-up Night! Africa was last held in 2018 where African entrepreneurs presented innovative solutions that have the potential of accessing the market in Germany. The initiative is a collaboration between the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy together with German-African Business Association and the Lionesses of Africa.
