Meet Dr. Jean Bosco Byiringiro, the Director of the 1st Siemens Training Center in Africa, a collaboration of Siemens AG in Germany and Dedan Kimathi University of Technology (DeKut) in Kenya. Dr Byiringiro has a strong connection to the academic and industrial sector in Germany.
About the Training Center
Established in 2016, the Siemens training center-DeKUT is located at the Advanced Design Manufacturing and Training Centre (ADMATC) at DeKUT. It was established to offer training in Siemens Mechatronic Systems Certification Program (SMSCP) in partnership with Siemens-Berlin. The partnership agreement between Siemens and DeKUT was started by organizing a successful Level 1 & 2 Instructor Certification course that was held at Siemens Technik Akademie Berlin (October 4-28, 2016) where one instructor was trained. The center is very well equipped with modern equipments ideal for teaching mechatronics engineering.
